In memory of a much esteemed former president and long-time Council member of the Friends of the National Collections of Ireland, the late Thomas Ryan PPRHA, we have purchased at auction (Whytes, November 2021) and presented to Limerick City Gallery of Art at their request, a beautiful example of his work, “The Shannon at Limerick, Sarsfield Bridge” (1967), the city of his birth.
