FNCI have been invited by the Irish Heritage Trust for a private visit to Fota House and Gardens, one of Ireland’s finest examples of regency period architecture and once the home of the Smith-Barry family.
The property is situated on Fota island and has its own railway station.
FNCI recently assisted the Irish Heritage Trust in the purchase of 10 Italian carved walnut chairs which came up for auction and were originally acquired for Fota house.
Travel to and from Fota is under own arrangement.

Fota House is about 800 m, a 10-minute walk, from the station but assistance if required can be arranged.
The weather in March can be unpredictable so bring an umbrella.
